What a beautiful web site. I hope that you all have success and good will for your efforts. I also hope that you can fill the gaps needed for the betterment of the Aln8ba in the Northeast Kingdom. Dana Pictou and I have been living in Alaska for the past 5 years. We are still sad about leaving Vermont. It seems that this is the right time for things to come together and how encouraging it is to hear that the bands came together to promote state recognition. Congratulations on your hard work and productive results. wliw8gan, Lorraine L. |

2008 has been a memorable year for the Nulhegan Band and the Greater Abenaki Nation. We wish for this site to be a tool and resource for Abenaki people and the general public.
Soon, information on the various Tribal Programs of AHA will be available. Also, you'll find press coverage of local and state activities that are pertinent to the Abenaki communities.
This is an election year... we promised our elected representatives that we would monitor their actions in Montpelier. 'VT Politian Watch' will be publishing press coverage and the opinions of the leadership of the Nulhegan Band based upon each representatives attentiveness and activity regarding Abenaki issues and legislation.
We're also preparing the 'Never Forget' page that is dedicated to those special souls who have left this world for the next, such as our dearly loved and missed Grandmother Nancy Cote.
There is much more to come so check in frequently for updated information. |
